Our history

The story of Il fera beau demain began with a dream, the dream of a man with a passion for discoveries and encounters. Renaud, the creator of these concept stores, has always been an explorer at heart. After studying political science and international relations at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, he decided to embark on an adventure in Asia. On his return, he began wholesaling, initially in Nepal and India, where he discovered an infinite wealth of handicrafts forged by age-old traditions. Little by little, Renaud became a supplier to many boutiques in Europe, sharing with them objects crafted with care and respect for local artisans.

One day, the adventure took an unexpected turn.  A customer, owner of an emblematic boutique in Louvain-la-Neuve, offered to take over her shop, ‘Le Foutoir’, founded in 1973. Renaud then took over Karma in Brussels and Il fera beau demain, an institution in Namur that opened in 1978. Seduced by the latter name, which conveyed hope and positivity (especially in Belgium), Renaud decided to bring his three shops together under one roof.

Alongside his partner, Julie, Renaud travels around Asia meeting local craftsmen, traditions and beliefs, and unearthing treasures for you. Let yourself be enchanted by the unique atmosphere of ‘Il fera beau demain’, and come and discover collections that warm the heart, awaken the senses and invite you to dream. It's not just a name, it's a promise. Because when you walk through the doors of these boutiques, each item tells a story of travel, reflection and sharing...

The weather will be fine tomorrow, and maybe even today.
